Food is Love

Food is nourishment. Food is joy. And good food, honestly prepared, feels a lot like love.

My Personal Declaration on Life

Life is so easy!
Life is so good!
All good things come to me!
I deserve all good things life has to offer!

Create a Secret Shifters List:
  • beautiful memories-i.e. nature
  • future events-i.e. with the person you love
  • favorite music

To know what you're thinking, ask yourself how are you feeling?
The feeling of love is the highest frequency you can emit. The greater the love you feel and emit, the great the power you are harnessing.

"I am so happy and grateful now that I have a loving and supportive husband. Also, I'm starting a clothing business that will become successful and lucrative." ~me.

Step 1: Get clear about what I want & ask for what I want. Place my order with the Universe.

Step 2: Believe that it's already mine.

"See the things that you want as already yours."
Claim the things that you want by feeling and believing that are yours.

Step 3: Receive. Begin to feel wonderful about it. Feel the way you will feel once it arrives. Feel it now.

What does my soul want to learn?
Find & trust my own precious voice.

Things are speeding up. Only those who love themselves can love others, that only people who claim their own voice can hear the true song of another. Learn soul lessons.

To love myself mean to listen to myself, listen to my pain, honor my desires and dreams and let go of what I thought was “supposed” to do.

This time I dance! Trusting the journey of creating the work you love.

These are notes that I took a while back and don't know the source anymore.

Is it Time to Update Your Look?

Count how many "yes" answers you get.
  • Do your yearbooks and old pictures reveal that your hairstyle was the same then as it is now? Your clothing choices? Your makeup?
  • Have you kept your clothes for five years or more? Ten years or more?
  • Is a big percentage of your closet composed of items that are five to ten years old?
  • Do you find that you have worn a trend that has cycled through the fashion world more than once?
  • Are your clothes composed of trends from another era, such as those from the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s or ‘90s?
  • Has a friend or family member suggested that you try a new look?
  • Are you uncomfortable trying a new look?
  • Are you unable to change your look?
  • Do you resist incorporating current trends into your wardrobe?
  • Are you afraid that if you change your look, you will make a fashion error?
If you answered yes to most of these questions, you may be stuck in a time warp. It might be time to find out why you are stuck, lose your dated look and move on internally.

Cells Phones & Radiation

I currently have the LG Thunderbolt cell phone that has a SAR rating of 1.2W/kg. I would first suggest that you look up the SAR rating for your phone and then continue on to reading this PDF (Guide to Reducing Cell Phone Radiation).

http://www.ewg.org/project/2009cellphone/EWGguide-cellphoneradiation.pdf

So, needless to say that my cell phone has a high SAR rating. The radiation exposure over time can lead to brain and salivary gland tumors.

Here are the top 10 best cell phones on the market that have lower radiation levels.

http://www.ewg.org/cellphone-radiation

Also, this website http://www.ewg.org/ has so much more health related information that I highly recommend. Two that I would like to put out are: http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ and http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/. With the SkinDeep website, you can look up and beauty products and find out how safe or dangerous they are when it comes to your health. Also, with the Food News website, you can find out the Clean 15 and Dirty Dozen where grocery shopping for produce is concerned.

Over the years, I have been reviewing this remarkably useful site to improve the health of me and my husband. I want us to be as healthy as possible and am sharing these tips because I would also like you to know as well.

Be safe, happy, and healthy!

Starbucks Drinks & Desserts that I Like

I did a review of the nutritional content for the items that I would order at Starbucks. I analyzed the sugar & caffeine primarily in order to determine whether the items are healthy choices or not.

Also, for desserts I tried to find items that contained fiber in addition to the sugar. This is the only way that sugar should be consumed, that is joining it with fiber. I heard this news from a DVD that I purchased called "Hungry for Change."

So, for my top picks of the items mentioned below I choose:

Coffee Drinks:

Cappuccino at 75mg of caffeine

Espresso Macchiato at 75mg of caffeine

Decaf Pike Place® Roast at 20mg of caffeine

Tea Drinks:

Any except for the lattes, they are too high in sugar.

Desserts:

Blueberry Oat Bar-because it has sugar + fiber. Never eat sugar without fiber.
